Through ROOTS & ROUTES my opportunities to collaborate with other disciplines in projects involving a variety of artists and forms of art have become more and more and so have my participations in festivals, exhibitions and in contests.
I first came in touch with ROOTS & ROUTES through a project about racism which was coordinated by S.Mou.Th in Greece. After that started a series of journeys, both personal and artistic, which involved collaborating with other artists, from different countries, in several disciplines and from diverse cultural backgrounds.

What is great about ROOTS & ROUTES is not just the experience I gained as a person as well as an artist, it is also the friends I made and the contacts that were developed through it. It is a school for life. I have improved myself in many ways, starting from learning how to discuss an issue and see it from as many standpoints as possible, how to develop and how to better communicate an idea, how to listen carefully and respect any individuality, up to how to work more professionally and efficiently under pressure, how to cooperate more effectively, how to combine and work with various artistic (and non artistic) disciplines and much more.

From journey to journey I grow up acting more wisely on the choices I make, on the way I act and react in both my life and my work. Furthermore I experienced, even for a while, all the effort and the staff (other than the artists) that is needed from a whole team in order to complete a project. That made me respect others’ work even more and understand it better.

Through ROOTS & ROUTES my opportunities to collaborate with other disciplines in projects involving a variety of artists and forms of art have become more and more and so have my participations in festivals, exhibitions and in contests. ROOTS & ROUTES has not only offered me knowledge and opportunities, but also inquisitiveness, and both the thirst and the opportunities for more experimentation.
