As part of the ROOTS & ROUTES Peer Coach Academy 2.0 (RRPCA 2.0), the Level Up Seminars were designed as advanced training opportunities for participants who had already completed their initial peer coach education and wished to further develop their artistic, educational, and leadership skills.
The first one took place in Salzburg, Austria, bringing together young artists from different European countries for an intensive programme focused on interdisciplinary stage performance.
Hosted at the Probehaus Salzburg, the seminar combined practical workshops, collaborative creation, and theoretical input across a wide range of topics, including education and outreach, performance psychology, technology and artistic creation, management, and organisation. Participants worked across disciplines, exchanging methodologies and exploring new approaches to artistic collaboration and peer learning.
Alongside the artistic programme, the seminar placed a strong emphasis on international networking and community building. Through shared experiences and exchanges of practice, participants strengthened their understanding of European youth work and developed lasting professional connections that will support future collaborations within our network and beyond.
The Level Up Seminar represents another important step in the RRPCA 2.0 journey, equipping young artists with advanced creative competencies, confidence and tools to become active peer coaches, facilitators, and community leaders.
The project is led by ROOTS & ROUTES Cologne e.V. in partnership with Synergy of Music Theatre (Larissa, Greece), Streetdance Center (Salzburg, Austria), Kaunas Cultural Centre of Various Nations (Kaunas, Lithuania), Subjective Values Foundation (Budapest, Hungary), Empreinte (Lille, France), and Centro di Creazione e Cultura (Florence, Italy).
