From April 4–15, 2026, young artists 18 -26 from Germany and across Europe gathered in Cologne/Heek for the Peer Coach Academy, developing skills in facilitation, creativity, and community work.
The programme offered an intensive training experience designed to support young artists in becoming peer coaches, ready to lead creative processes and engage with their communities.

Over the course of twelve days, participants explored key topics such as moderation, communication, and project management, while taking part in creative labs and hands-on group work. A strong focus was placed on learning by doing: participants developed and tested their own workshop ideas in real-life settings, gaining practical experience and feedback from peers and mentors.

The Academy also created space for international exchange, allowing participants to connect with other young creatives and discover different artistic approaches. By the end of the programme, they had strengthened both their artistic and facilitation skills, and gained valuable insights into how to apply them in local and international contexts.

RRPCA 2.0 is implemented by a consortium of organisations from the ROOTS & ROUTES network, committed to training a new generation of socially engaged artists and youth workers.

The project is led by ROOTS & ROUTES Cologne e.V. in partnership with Synergy of Music Theatre (Larissa, Greece), Streetdance Center (Salzburg, Austria), Kaunas Cultural Centre of Various Nations (Kaunas, Lithuania), Subjective Values Foundation (Budapest, Hungary), Empreinte (Lille, France), and Centro di Creazione e Cultura (Florence, Italy). Funded by Erasmus+ National co-funding in Germany by the DOHLE Foundation.
