EUtropia Performance Arkadas 2012 – Highlights

On spring 2012, 30 young artists from Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain were invited by jfc Medienzentrum to Heek and Cologne (Germany) to jointly create a performance. Reworking the original EUtropia show created in Denmark in 2011, the group told a story about communication and crisis, using the tower of Babel as a metaphor. The performance, directed by Costas Lamproulis (Greece) featuring cooperation between live performers and live media was premiered on April 2nd at Arkadas Theatre – Bühne der Kulturen in Cologne.

EUtropia is funded by the EU programm CULTURE and, in Germany, additionally by the Northrhine-Westfalian youth ministry (MFKJKS NRW).
