Biography:
Pop/Rock singer Lana de Kievit,
Lana is born in Rotterdam/The Netherlands.
Already at very young age, Lana sang at every possible occasion. In school musicals, for the
family and made complete shows in her bedroom.
When she was 10 she started singing in a choir. One of the highlights with this was
a performance in “Ahoy” with the famous Dutch singer Wolter Kroes.
As Lana also has a big passion for horses it was difficult to combine high school, her own
horse and singing. It was at the age of 15 that she decided that singing was going to be her
biggest ambition. From this time on she started to have private singing lessons.
Music runs into the family as her brother is a great guitar player and she always was there when he had to perform. With jam sessions she made sure she could sing a few songs. This
was always a great success.
She participated a music competition when she was 16. She did not win but they asked her to start a project with three other young people who all have their own style.
There is a rapper, classic piano player, musical singer and then Lana singing pop/rock.
This group was a success on the biggest festivals in Rotterdam like Liberty Festival and Ortel Dunya Festival.
Meanwhile they recorded a promotion cd which is going to be presented next November in
De Doelen in Rotterdam.
This all is a great experience to develop her voice, her own music style and performing on stage is what she likes most.
Now she is a student at a music school and she started to record a demo cd for school.
She composed her own song with her brother in their home studio.
Her style is pop and rock and her idols are: Anouk a Dutch female singer, Kelly Clarkson, Beth hart and definately Pink!
She has only one goal and that is to become famous with her own music.
