She currently lives in Scandicci (Florence). Active as an independent video-maker working for years on the urban environment, with particular attention to changes that occur and to the emotions and feelings of the people who inhabit it.
In 2008 she got a scholarship from Scandicci Cultura to realize “Note di e su
Bucharest”, a report on musical underground culture of the capital. This gives rise to the collaboration with Scandicci Culture to make documentaries on local reality.
In 2009 she collaborated with Fondazione Marangoni for the project “Codici Binari”,
partecipatine to a group exibition at the Ginger Zone in Scandicci.
In collaboration with Centro di Documentazione Audiovisiva del Comune di Pontassieve and Kinkaleri, she has made a series of audio.video installation, starting from a reflection on the territory of Val di Sieve e Valdarno.
Since 2006 she has been collaborating with the Association Fabbrica Europa, whose member she became in 2010, as part of interdisciplinary projects developed within Roots & Routes.
How do time, space and concentration of human beings affect the development of individuals? How do they interact in our modern cities, with their constantly changing communities?
A documentary presented in a different way. The first phase of the project took place in Bucharest in April 2010 and involved a live session mixing music and video. The second was in Florence in May 2010 and consisted of a video installation with the clips from the live jam session performance in Bucharest and faces of people from Florence. The third step, developed in Cologne and Remscheid in August 2010, included a new event which opposed traffic to natural sounds and images from the forest around Remscheid Academy. The fourth step was again a study of city sounds and images, this time from Barcelona: the music, fully composed from noises recorded on the streets, was presented in September in a quadriphonic sound installation at Café l’Occità in Vic in the frame of the Mercat de Musica Viva. In Pecs, in October, an audio-video installation bridging between East and West, between the video from Bucharest and the audio from Barcelona, was presented in the fascinating courtyard of VeloSophie.
Back in Bucharest after one year, in April 2011, About Traffic has been presented in form of a jam-like live performance transmitting strong feelings and emotions. In this same form it will be presented in Florence for Fabbrica Europa 2011, with sounds and images from all the cities involved.
