Biography:
I'm Kimberly Pikeur. I was born on May 5, 1986, in Curaçao, Willemstad. I was just a year old when my family moved to the Netherlands.
I started at the age of four years old with ballet classes. Throughout High school I always kept on dancing. (amateurlevel) At the age of eleven I discovered streetdance and became addictive of the style. After dancing for five years straight, I wanted to learn more dancing skills so I went to Rotterdam to follow more classes. There I met Reshmay. Reshmay is the founder of Rotterdam dance center. Today it's calles Moves Rotterdam. There at Rotterdam dance center was the start of the love for this career.
After I graduated from High school, I began studying Biology. In the morning I went to school and in de evening I was dancing at RDC. Quote: “Physical I was in class but mental I was always rehearsing my dance steps.” My school made me an ultimatum. I had to choose between my school and dancing.
Albeda had opened a dance college, and I audition for it. I past the audition and was accepted to Albeda dance college. From that moment I knew that dancing wasn’t just a hobby but it was a lifestyle.
Now I'm in my third year. I'm getting ready for the world. I have done a lot of projects. Theatre, workshops, stageperfomance etc. I love to dance and show my passion to the world. I discoverd I also love to travel. Nov 2009 i went to Ethiopia. Amazing country. Next stop: Budapest - Hongary and London - UK
Dancing is a way to express yourself. Dancing is freedom where the sky is the limits. Dancing is more than just moving on music. For me dancing is life.
