"A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do." - Bob Dylan
I have started my filmmaker career at the age of 15 with my family's first, brand new small videocamera, which gave me a lot of useful experiences. For example, did you know that these devices are very sensitive to water? Since I have the second one I created several kinds of videos, including videoclips, concert videos, interviews, short films, some artistic stuff and complete DVDs about huge events.
After getting my International Business degree into my hands I came to the point I would like to do something more colourful and creative job, so I decided to conflate somehow "money-making" and "film-making". I believe in life-long learning and I'm trying to get knowlegde about everything what I find interesting.
Performers House is a modern version of a Danish folk high school. With its exceptional scope and a unique cross cultural international environment, the school offers you the exciting opportunity to develop your talent.
All teaching at the school starts with the artistic process. You will be challenged and presented with techniques that help you develop your personal expression.
To be able to promote ideas and feelings through art you must work with yourself and the world around you. A course at Performers House is therefore not just about dance, music and theater -- you will work with psychology, philosophy and social themes as well.
The central aim is dialogue and dynamic cooperation -- between individuals and groups, students, teachers, the public and performers. Your days will be hectic as you push yourself and each other to the limit. Together you will create results that propel you to new heights while still respecting every individual's proficiency.
Performers House admits students from all over Europe. The working language of the school is English, at a level everyone can understand. We are aiming for a student ratio of 55% Danish to 45% of other European nationality.
This meeting of cultures is a fundamental idea behind Performers House. It is not meant as an integration project but as an equal exchange of common interests. This cultural meeting allows for dynamism, for space and for new approaches. The international environment will also open doors to the world and the many opportunities that exist there, to help you and your future career."
