In het kader van de viering van 400 jaar Turkse Nederlandse handel, heeft ROOTS & ROUTES in samenwerking met de Bilgi Universiteit van Istanbul een nieuw innovatief project ontwikkeld: Routes to Transformation. In dit unieke project werken de muzikanten samen om hun muziek en ideeën uit te wisselen én brengen zij het project door bijelkaar in huis. Het project bestaat uit twee delen, waarbij een in Turkije (Istanbul) zal plaatsvinden en een in Nederland (Utrecht). Ze zullen hun muziek en culturele achtergrond samenvoegen en elkaar inspireren om uiteindelijk tot een nieuw geluid te komen. Het doel van deze twee residenties is om een showcase te creëren die zal worden getoond op diverse podia in Utrecht en Istanbul.
