In the Frame of The ROOTS & ROUTES Peer Coach Academy 2016

Around Easter 2016, ROOTS & ROUTES Cologne e. V. organised a 12-day seminar for young artists who want to capitalise on their artistic skills by teaching/coaching others. The seminar included artistic, educational and entrepreneurial aspects.
20 young artists participated in The ROOTS & ROUTES Peer Coach Academy 2016, held at Landesmusikakademie NRW in Heek-Nienborg and in Cologne. The programme included classes, artistic sessions, simulation games and roleplays, with a curriculum empowering the participants to increase their competencies in three fields:
  • educational competencies, leading groups, communication
  • artistic competencies and didactics of teaching performing arts and media
  • entrepreneurship, business, self-management

The Academy contained modules funded by the EU programme ERASMUS+ within the project “Routes to Employment” (R2E), while the main framework and the other modules were funded by Stiftung Deutsche Jugendmarke e. V. and HIT-Stiftung.
