Fabbrica Europa

Fabbrica Europa – Centro di creazione e produzione di cultura is a cultural association and an interactive centre with a truly European dimension, integrating professional growth, innovative creation and artistic production. Founded in Florence in 1994, it actually started its activities in 2002.
Our projects are focused on permanent workshops and creative production residencies aimed at fostering the national and international mobility of contemporary artists and art-works, at researching the possible contaminations among artistic languages, at encouraging cultural diversity.
In January 2003, the Association contributed to the creation of the Foundation Fabbrica Europa per le arti contemporanee, that has taken over the responsibility for the design, organisation and management of the Fabbrica Europa Festival taking place since 1984 in May at the former railway station Stazione Leopolda. Within the Foundation, the Association is responsible in particular for intercultural, youth and training projects aimed at life-long adult education and at vocational training of professionals in the sector of performing arts creation and production.
Our activities are developed and carried out together with partners from the public / institutional sector (first of all the Departments of Culture and Youth Politics of the Municipality of Florence), as well as with a variety of organisations and networks active in the cultural and social fields.
